I like unconventional stories and I especially love a good movie that turns normal conventions on it’s head. I’ve separated this into two sections - my absolute favorites / go to holiday season movies, followed by other movies as we watch them. This will probably take me most of December to write so it will morph over time.

We already had a good start of our favorite unconventional Christmas movies and because it’s sort of our thing our friend Louise sent this list to us and we started watching even more!

Once again inspired by my friend Jen , here is the media I’ve been consuming. I’m still on the Audible train and at their maximum subscriber level and buying books when they go on sale to boot. I love listening to books while I commute / travel. In the past I would get annoyed when Waze would butt in with commentary, but now I’ve started to find it amusing. So many random insertions Arkady said in one mile, use the right lane to turn right at the light. I laugh every time.

Well it’s the end of the year so it’s that time that I tell you to go check out my media wrap up for the year! Inspired by my friend Jen I started a media log, or at least keeping some kind of track of all the books I read, Jen catalogs all her media and I am not nearly that organized or ambitious. However, I did add a new entry this year for Unconventional Christmas Movies where I ramble on about Christmas horror movies in addition to my annual book writeup (that usually gets procrastinated until the end of the year lol)

In 2022 I started listening to audio books on Audible and I read a lot of books. Inspired by my friend Jen I started a media log. Jen catalogs all her media and I am not nearly that ambitious and I actually wanted to start writing short reviews and that really doesn’t work with my work load/ADHD. So for the most part my media log is more like a running list of very short summaries of books I’ve read. I am certain that nobody really gives a shit but I’m not doing this for them anyway =)

Inspired by my friend Jen , here is the media I’ve been consuming. I’ve always had a hard time reading books and recently started using Audible to listen to audio books. I had put it off for a long time, figuring that I wouldn’t use it and I would just waste money. Oh boy was I wrong. I burned through tons of books and very much outpaced the one credit a month I got from Audible.
